Morgan Focused On Defending UBO World Title

Morgan (7-0, 6 KOs) was recently elevated to full world champion, having won the interim title on March 25 in Colombia, stopping local late substitute Lira Huyke in three rounds.

Now she is already focusing on her first title-defense, hungry to show the world that she is one of the best in her weight class.

“I am not here to take part, I am here to take over”, said Morgan after a session with respected coach and manager Monyette Flowers.

“I am looking forward to getting back in the ring and defend my UBO world title, and I work hard. If someone ever gets even close to beating me, they will have to bleed to do it. Its my time!”

Smiling after hearing that confident statement, coach Flowers has faith in his boxer, and makes it clear that she is not just talking big talk, saying:

“Stevie is a very hard worker, and she will be at the top soon. Boxing is like chess to us, every move is very important and one wrong move can be check-mate either way”.

“This summer she will defend the UBO world title, and it will be another goal reached with plenty more to come.”

Before hitting the showers, Morgan makes a point of thanking her sponsors SGC Grading and Food Facory Tampa:

“Without the help of my sponsors it would be so much harder to do what I do, and I appreciate them, and everyone else in my corner.”

Flowers explains that date, place and opponent for Morgan´s first UBO world title-defense is in the works, and will be announced in due cause.
