Some fights have war written all over them! This is the case when Twaha Kassim (21-8-1, 8 KOs) makes his first defense of the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Super Middleweight title on Saturday April 22.

At the Tanzanite Hall in his home-town of Morogoro, Tanzania, Kassim, also known as Twaha Kiduku, will face Georgian danger-man Iago Kiziria, a former world-class amateur who has taken on a long line of world-class professionals since entering the paid ranks in 2019.

As a consequence, his record currently stands at a highly deceiving 7-9 (5), but the teak-tough 32-year-old from Poti in Western Georgia is coming off a seventh round knockout victory agsinst 14-1 German contender Martin Houben last November in Duesseldorf.

Before that he came up on the short end of debatable split decisions on away soil against Wanik Awdijan (27-1), Kamil Bednarek (10-0) and Grigor Saruhanian (16-6-1), and a majority decision against Leon Bunn (16-0).

Kassim (31), who is also the reigning UBO All-Africa champion, is one of the most popular boxers in his country at the moment, if not the biggest star period, and a full venue is expected to cheer him on against Kiziria.

Both fighters are all-action, both have granite chins, and both will come with everything in their arsenal to win and take home the UBO belt, so anything but a fire-fight will be a surprise.

Broadcast live in Tanzania by Azam Sports 1, the Kassim vs. Kiziria UBO Inter-Continental Super Middleweight title fight is the main event of a show promoted by Peak Time Media.
