Furtado vs. Sanchez For UBO World Super Bantamweight Title

On May 6 in Sao Paolo, Brazil, local star Lila Dos Santos Furtado (8-0, 1 KO) will square off with Venezuelan Bestalia Sanchez (12-1, 7 KOs) for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Female world Super Bantamweight title.

  
 

Reigning Brazilian and former WBC Latino champion Furtado entered the paid ranks in February of 2020, after an accomplished amateur career, and is now ready for her first crack at world honours.


She captured the Brazilian title in the summer of 2021, the WBC title less than a year later, and defended her national crown in her most recent outing last October.


In “La Doctora” Sanchez she will be facing an opponent with momentum, as the southpaw from Los Tequez has won eight straight since suffering her sole defeat in 2019.


 
 

Furtado may draw advantage from fighting on home soil, and her championship experience, but Sanchez will be confident that she has the upper hand in power and this shapes up to be a very interesting encounter.

The Furtado vs. Sanchez UBO world Super Bantamweight title fight is the main event of a show promoted by Pernilongo Promotions.
