Yosif Panov (23-3, 11 KOs) was supposed to fight Kosovo´s Edmond Zefi for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Welterweight title on April 6 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Unfortunately Zefi was in a car accident and suffered injury which rules him out of the fight, and the promoters have scrambled to find a suitable replacement.

28-year-old Argentinian Victoriano Antonio “Papelito” Santillan has jumped at the chance to step in and face Panov in the main event of a show at the Arena Armeets.

Turning professional in March of 2017, and in training for a fight, Santillan brings a 10-5-2 (7) record and is undefeated in his last three outings.

This will be his first fight outside his native country, and his first championship fight, so he comes in with nothing to lose and a mindset to upset the apple-cart.

The Panov vs. Santillan UBO title fight, presented by Max Fight Promotions in association with Alexeev Boxing, and other featured bouts, will be broadcast live on Diema Sport 3 in Bulgaria and world-wide on FITE.
