Twaha Kassim retained the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) All-Africa Super Middleweight title, and won the vacant UBO Inter-Continental title, on Saturday, September 24, in Mtwara, Tanzania.

In the main event of a show at the Nangwanda Sijaona Grounds, Kassim, AKA Twaha Kiduku scored a dominant unanimous decision over Egyptian champion Abdo “Monster” Khaled.

Kassim was in charge for the most of the fight, and scored a questionable knock-down in round nine which looked like a slip, but Khaled put up a valiant performance, despite periods where he spend too much time trying to mock his opponent.

After ten rounds of action, judges Omari Yazidu and Said Mkonde both scored the fight 99-90, while judge Monica Mwakasanga had it a shut-out at 100-89.

Now a double UBO champion, Kassim (30) improved his professional record to 20-8-1 (8). Khaled (21) drops to 7-5-1 (6).

Televised by Azam TV, the fight was promoted by Peak Time Media.
