Merry X-Mas & Happy New Year From The UBO

For the UBO we finish 2021 with two fights on December 27, concluding a year which has, despite many bouts and entire events cancelled due to Covid-19, thankfully been much better than the one previous.

But more difficult times are likely ahead, with new restrictions and cancellations, and just like in any other sport, and business, everyone in boxing hope that we wont be hit too bad and that our sport can continue almost like (the new) normal in 2022.

No one knows what the future will bring, but we must stay positive while staying prepared to adapt and adjust. This much we know will be essential.

I want to thank everyone who was involved in UBO championship fights, and boxing in general, during 2021 for their perseverance and willingness to continue despite all the challenges and frustrations.

Boxers, promoters, managers, trainers, administrators. ALL of them fighters!

My deepest respect and gratitude to everyone, because the last two years has been harder than ever to be all of the above.

In many cases harder than for people with “normal” jobs. Financially, mentally, in every way.

It looks like we will need that perseverance and fighting-spirit next year too. But we can do it!

In the meantime, I wish everyone a Merry X-Mas and Happy New Year from all of us at the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO).
