Two Universal Boxing Organization™ championship fights will headline a big promotion staged by SKV Boxing on Saturday December 5 in Pyatigorsk, Russia.

Fighting for the vacant UBO Female Inter-Continental Lightweight title, 24-year-old Marina Popova (2-0) is set to be on a fast-track towards a possible world title opportunity in 2016, squaring off with the more experienced Sarah Achieng from Kenya.

Achieng (10-2, 6 KOs) is a former East & Cental Africa champion at Featherweight, and currently holds the Kenyan national Super Lightweight title, which she won this past July in Nairobi.

Also being fast-tracked is Vyacheslav Mirzaev (4-0), who takes center stage in only his fifth professional fight, as he squares off with a much more seasoned opponent for the vacant UBO World Featherweight crown.

Southpaw Mirzaev (27) will face Tanzanian stylist Issa “Peche Boy” Nampepeche (21-4-4, 9 Kos), who, despite being only 21 years old, has been a pro since 2010 and taken part in three previous title bouts along the way.
