Universal Boxing Organization™ World Lightweight Champion Allan Kamote made a successful first defense of his title Saturday night (June 6) at the National Indoor Stadium in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, stopping Emilio Norfat in ten rounds.

Kamote had won the UBO world title last October with a unanimous decision over Osgood Kayuni from Malawi, and looked determined from the first bell to not let go of his crown anytime soon, as he took control of the fight.

After working well with his combinations in the first four rounds, picking Norfat off and occasionally landing big shots to both body and head, Kamote scored a knock-down in round five, but the game challenger beat the count of referee Anthony Ruta.

Unfortunately for Norfat, Kamote had no intentions of taking his foot off the gas and continued to dominate, until the corner of Norfat had seen enough and threw in the towel in round ten, making Kamote the winner by technical knockout.

Fighting on a show promoted by Mwazoa Promotions, Kamote improved his professional record to 26-8-4 (15), while Norfat, nicknamed “Prince Kilimanjaro, drops to 24-6 (18).
