Verazdat Chernikov UBO World Champion

Verazdat Chernikov is the new Universal Boxing Organization™ World Super Middleweight Champion, after the 23-year-old Russian beat Karama Nyilawila on Saturday April 25 at the Wonderland arena in Novorossiysk, Russia.

 
  

This was a rematch of a fight in October of last year which Chernikov also won, by sixth round technical knockout, but this time he got the job done even quicker with a third round stoppage of the former WBF World Champion from Tanzania.


By winning the vacant world title, Chernikov improved his professional record to 10-2 (5), and forced Nyilawila to travel back to Dar-Es-Salaam with a 19-13-2 (11) ledger.

 
 

The Cherniov vs. Nyilawila UBO World Super Middleweight title fight, and a stacked nine-fight undercard, was promoted by SKV Boxing.
