Universal Boxing Organization™ Inter-Continental Super Middleweight Champion Verazdat Chernikov will be fighting for the vacant UBO World title against an opponent to be confirmed at the Wonderland arena in his hometown of Novorossiysk, Russia on April 25.

Nicknamed The Boa-constrictor, 23-year-old Chernikov (9-2, 4 Kos) captured the Inter-Continental crown last October when he stopped experienced former WBF world champion Karama Nyilawila in six rounds, and is considered one of the most promising prospects on the scene.

In his most recent fight, this past January, he stayed busy with a third round stoppage over Armenian Zorayr Voskonyan in a non-title outing, and has since been focusing on preparing for what will be his young careers biggest opportunity to date.

Chernikov will be fighting in the main event of a huge show promoted by SKV Boxing, going out live on television to millions of viewers in Russia.
