Just last
year Jomardashvili went the ten-round distance
with former WBO World Champion Zsolt Erdei, also
from Hungary, and he was coming off two stoppage
victories, but Szello got rid of the cagey
Georgian quicker than any other opponent had
previously managed.
After
knocking Jomardashvili down once in the second
round, Szello didn’t waste much time and finished
him in round three, prompting referee Bulcsu
Gabris to wave the fight off at 0:36 of the round.
A very
impressive result for the new UBO Champion, who
improved his professional record to 5-0 (3).
Jomardashvili, a former European title-challenger,
falls to 40-12-2 (31).
