Hungarian former amateur star Imre Szello will not be wasting any time in his first year as a professional, as he is fighting experienced and accomplished Georgian Shalva Jomardashvili for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ International Cruiserweight title already in his fifth bout.

On March 14, at the Gal Jozsef Sporthall in Geled, Hungary, they will face each other in the ten-round main event of a big show promoted by Felix Promotion, and broadcast live on TV by Magyar Televizio.

Szello (4-0, 2 KOs), who had over three-hundred amateur bouts, won bronze at the 2013 European championships and represented Hungary in the 2008 Olympics, won the Hungarian national Cruiserweight title already in his second professional fight.

In former Georgian champion and European title-challenger Jomardashvili (40-11-2, 31 KOs) he will be facing by far his toughest opponent since turning over last June, a man who has been in the ring with names such as Matthew Macklin, Kai Kurzawa and Hungary´s former WBO world champion Zsolt Erdei.

If Szello can do a better job with Jomardashvili than Erdei, who beat the Georgian on points for the WBO European title in March 2013, he will be making a significant statement, and clearly establish himself as one of his country’s premier prospects.
