UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™
It’s that time of the year again where the annual Universal Boxing Organization™ Boxing Awards are announced. This year we have eight categories.

Below we list the winners of the various categories, but please know that if you are one of the boxers, managers, promoters etc. who was involved with the UBO in 2014 that do not receive an award, you are still very much appreciated.

The recipients are as follows:

At only 22 years, 3 months and five days old, Djamel Dahou from Algeria became the youngest ever UBO World Champion when he won the welterweight title last September.

Dahou traveled to Tanzania and stopped local boxer Said Yazidu impressively in the first round, and proved that he is a true champion, not afraid to box in his opponents back-yard.

In his latest bout this past December, Dahou stopped Mexican Daniel Valenzuela in the first round, this time at home in Algeria, and improved his impressive professional record to 13-0 (12).

With Kayuni holding two previous victories over Kamote, a lot of pride was at stake in this grudge-match, and it showed in a high-paced and entertaining scrap that had the spectators on their feet cheering the action.

Kamote won a unanimous decision, and improved his professional record to 25-7-4 (14).
