A hero to his fellow
Algerians, Dahou was quick to share the glory
after becoming world champion, when he said
after the Yazidu fight:
“I
could not have done this without the support of
the Algerian people, and I dedicate this world
championship to them, and to my country.”
Earlier this month he made a
long-awaited homecoming to Algeria when he
stopped Mexican Daniel Valenzuela in the first
round in front of a lively sold-out crowd, and
his current record stands at an unblemished 13-0
(12).
He is expected to fight again
in Algeria in early 2015, defending his UBO
World title.
