UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Hungarian veteran Zoltan Petranyi (47) continues to impress, as he successfully defended his Universal Boxing Organization™ European Heavyweight title against 20-years-younger compatriot Tibor Balogh on Sunday December 29 at the Hotel Aquincum in Budapest.

Fighting live on Fix TV in Hungary, Balogh came out fast and tried to surprise Petranyi, but the reigning champion kept his cool and soon found his rhythm.

From the second round it was Petranyi in command, and in round three things really started to go bad for the challenger.

In the third, Petranyi floored Balogh twice with body-punches and after the second knock-down referee Bela Florian counted ten. A clear victory for the ageless UBO champion!

Petranyi, making his third defense of the UBO title he won in January 2011, improved his professional record to 50-20 (15). This was his fourteenth victory in a row, having gone undefeated since 2007. Balogh, coming in with ten straight victories, drops to 12-2-2 (8).

The fight was promoted by Profibox-Promotions, headed by none other than the champ himself: Zoltan Petranyi. This man is something else…
