Sebastien Allais is the new Universal Boxing Organization™ Inter-Continental Welterweight Champion after defeating Thailands Rachamongkol Sor Pleonchit on Saturday night (Nov. 23) at the Salle Du Piloris in his hometown of Campbon, France.

With a lively crowd cheering him on, Allais fought a disciplined fight against the game visitor, and seemed to be in control most of the way throughout a high-paced bout where both boxers put on a good performance.

After twelve rounds of boxing it was clear that 32-year-old Allais had done enough to win the decision, and all three judges agreed with scores of 117-111 (Bertrand Chagnoux), 116-112 (Elvis Pinsault) and 115-113 (Mahfoud Tadjeddine).

Referee in charge Pierre Derval didn’t have a complicated night in the ring, as the fighters, although at high intensity and activity, fought cleanly and within the rules.

With the victory Allais improved his professional record to 16-8-4 (5), while former WBC Asia and International titlist Sor Pleonchit (30) drops to 14-7 (6).

The new UBO Inter-Continental Champion will now enjoy Christmas with his family, and then start gearing up for a possible title defense in March or April.

Promoter of the bout was Serge Pannetier and Campbon Boxing Club, who did a great job in organizing the event.
