In regards to the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Flyweight title bout between Eduardo Ajito and Eduardo Yudel Reyes Torres, won by Mr. Ajito by Split Decision, which took place on July 15, 2026 in Callao, Peru, the UBO is making the following official statement:

It is our opinion that the scoring of two of the judges, 119-107 and 118-108 for Ajito, is so far removed from reality that we need to take a stance.

We have no intentions of taking away from the accomplishment of Mr. Ajito, or from his joy of being world champion, but awarding only one and two rounds to Mr. Reyes Torres is extraordinarily unfair, in our opinion, and can only be described as incompetent at best.

The judges in question will not be allowed to officiate UBO title fights again!

It is an official ruling of the UBO that the only title defense we will approve for Mr. Ajito is a rematch with Mr. Reyes Torres, unless Mr. Reyes Torres informs us that he is not willing to participate.

We understand that Mr. Ajito broke his right hand in the fight, and he will obviously need time for the hand to heal, but, with certain conditions, we have asked the teams of both boxers to start negotiating a rematch as soon as possible.

It should be noted that if either boxer takes an interim bout and lose, the UBO reserve the right to withdraw its ruling.
