Local fan-favourites Josh Torres and Cristian Cabral headlines in separate fights for UBO Continental (North America) titles against tough Mexican opponents.

At Welterweight, “Pitbull” Torres (30-7-2, 17 KOs), a former WBC regional titlist, takes on Alejandro Frias Rodriguez, who brings a 21-13-2 (12) record.

Frias Rodriguez may have so-so statistics, but always come to win, and has proven several times that he is more than capable of pulling of an upset.

Since turning pro in 2015, he has scored victories over the likes of Alexander Villa (13-0), Rene Miranda (10-0-1) and Fabian Rojo (9-0), and battled to a draw with Manuel Jaimes (11-0).

Cristian “El Puma” Cabral is 11-2-2 (5) in his pro campaign, and can also expect a tough battle against undefeated Texas-based Martin Sollano (5-0, 2 KOs) for the Middleweight title.

Cabral entered the paid ranks in 2011, but was out of the ring between 2018 and 2023 following a loss to Josh Torres.

He is unbeaten since his return, and now he co-headlines with Torres on a huge night of boxing in Albuquerque.
