Peruvian Star Eduardo "El Chino" Ajito Fights For UBO World Title

Peruvian star Eduardo “El Chino” Ajito (25-2-1, 13 KOs) will fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Flyweight title on June 27.

  
 

Almost ten years after making his professional debut, Ajito takes on an opponent still to be confirmed in the main event of a show in his home-town Callao.


A former WBA regional titlist at Light Flyweight, the 37-year-old has only lost in two bids for WBO championships, and is unbeaten in his last thirteen bouts.


If successful on June 27, Ajito will be only the third professional world boxing champion from his country, following Kina Malpartida (WBA Super Featherweight, 2009-2012) and Alberto Rossel (WBA Interim Light Flyweight, 2009-2014).


 
 

This will be the first world championship fight in Peru since Rossel made his final defense in March of 2014, making it a hugely anticipated event.
