Sebastien Philippote made a statement that he still has plenty to give in the ring, as he won the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International and Continental (Asia) Cruiserweight titles on Saturday, May 2, in Cebu City, Philippines.

In one of the featured bouts of a show promoted by Tunal Academy in association with Big Yellow Boxing Promotions, Philippote defeated hard-hitting former WBC Asia champion Thoedsak Sinam by knockout in round three.

After a shock defeat last December, Philippote knew that he could not afford another setback, and it showed as he was focused and determined from the first bell, putting his path towards even bigger challenges back on track.

Its been an unorthodox journey for the 45-year-old Frenchman, who lost his first five professional bouts and was out of the ring for over fifteen years between 2006 and 2022.

A former IBA International titlist (2025), he has now won ten of his last eleven, as he improves to 10-6 (4). Thailand´s Sinam (30) drops to 26-23 (22).
