FIGHT POSTPONED! Pakistan´s Muhammad Shoaib will fight Mohd Azahar from India for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Lightweight title on December 27.

The fight will be one of the featured bouts of a show at the Marriott Hotel Ankara in Ankara, Turkey, promoted by Tunal Academy in association with Reyes Boxing Inc.

For both boxers it will not be the first time boxing outside their native countries. Shoaib has boxed in Thailand and Oman, besides Pakistan, while Azahar has competed in Abu Dabi and Bangladesh.

Besides being the current Pakistan national champion, Shoaib (6-0-1, 1 KO) is also a former Asian Boxing Federation champion, a title he won two years ago in Bangkok.

Last September he recorded another significant victory, when he unanimously out-scored former UBO world title-challenger Muhammad Bilal.

24-year-old Mohd Azahar brings a somewhat mediocre 12-7-1 (10) ledger, but is much better than the numbers suggest.

He had a rough start to his career, losing five of his first eight outings, but has since done well against good opposition, and is a former WBC regional champion at Super Featherweight.
