Romanian grinder Marius Antonietti is now a two-time Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) champion, after winning the vacant Inter-Continental Middleweight title on Saturday night, November 23.

Antonietti, who previously held the UBO International title, was too strong and powerful for Venezuelan co-challenger Gregorio Dominguez.

On a show promoted by Kiliti Promotions at the Lakeside Hotel in Szekesfehervar, Hungary, Antonietti scored two knock-downs enroute to making Dominguez quit before the start of round five.

The 34-year-old from Cluj improved his professional record to 16-5 (12). Dominguez, the reigning Venezuelan national champion, travels home with an 18-6 (17) ledger.

This was Antonietti´s second attempt at Inter-Continental honours, having come out on the short end of a questionable decision against another Venezuelan in Yeison Gonzalez last year.

In a career with plenty of ups a downs, Antonietti is a living testament to the fact that if you refuse to give up you can achieve big things.
