In 2020 it looked as if a knee-injury would keep
him from living up to his potential, and he nearly
walked away from the sport for good before
deciding to give it another go three years later.
Since then he has not looked back. He started his
comeback in August of 2023 in Medellin, and now,
only fifteen months later, he could become world
champion in Medellin, 25 years after starting his
journey.
While only 9-0 (7) in the paid ranks, Alexander
has put himself in position for the world
championship opportunity by winning the UBO
International title last March, Inter-Continental
in June, and defending the latter in September.
Whoever stands in the opposite corner on November
16 will have to deal with a man on a mission, a
man who is living proof that if you make the
sacrifices and bet on yourself, you can overcome a
lot and (potentially) realize your dreams.
25 years in the making: The dream is within reach!
