It is well known that identical twins not only
look alike, they often speak and act alike too,
so as Ege Konuk had won a UBO title a few hours
earlier, Efe was bound to do the same.
At the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Thailand's
capital, promoted by FCC Promotion and Highland
Boxing Promotions, Konuk and Singh started
quietly.
As the action picked up, the fight progressed
much in the same way as Ege´s had, with Efe
starting best, his opponent doing well in the
middle rounds, and Efe finishing strong, trying
to put in an exclamation point with a stoppage.

After nine competitive rounds the tenth and final
round was all Konuk, who hurt Singh with
well-placed body-shots and tried to finish him,
but had to settle for a unanimous decision.
Judges Worawuth Duankhao and Thanakorn Khanthong
both scored the fight 98-92, while judge Peemai
Phosuwan saw it slightly wider at 99-91.
Konuk (21) is now 10-0-1 (5), and, just like his
twin brother, has a very bright future in the
ring. Singh (27) put up a valiant effort and can
certainly come again.
