Undefeated Dubai-based Italian Riccardo Rizzi wasted little time when winning the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (Asia) Super Welterweight title on Sunday, October 6.

In one of five UBO title fights promoted by FCC Promotions in association with Highland Boxing Promotions at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Rizzi stopped Indian Israr Usmani in two rounds.

After a slow first round the action picked up in round two, and Rizzi quickly proved the better man as he was very effective with his right hand and floored Usmani three times.

After the third knock-down referee Worawuth Duankhao had seen enough and stopped the fight. Official time of stoppage: 1:11.

24-year-old Rizzi, fighting in Thailand for the third time, wins his first professional title and improves his professional record to 9-0 (4).

Usmani (25), who entered the fight coming off two wins, tried his best but never recovered from the first knock-down, and drops to 7-4 (7).
