With a conclusive and impressive performance, Italian Alexandro Foglia won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Youth Super Bantamweight title on Saturday night, September 21.

In Forio, on the island of Ischia which is part of the metropolitan city of Naples, Foglia had little trouble with co-challenger Mohon Ali from Bangladesh, scoring several knock-downs before forcing a third round stoppage.

On paper it had looked like a very evenly matched fight, and Ali came to Italy with six straight victories, but it turned out to be a one-sided affair and Foglia proving he is one to look out for.

The 21-year-old southpaw improved his professional record to 10-0 (4), while former WBC regional title-challenger Ali falls to 12-3-2 (6).

It will be interesting to see what the next step will be for Foglia, who appears ready for even bigger challenges in the near future. Ali is also still young at twenty-two, and has time to come back strong.

The fight headlined a show promoted by Boxe Isola D´Ischia.
