Featured UBO Champion: Fernando Luis Pinto

Fighting out of Alphaville, Sao Paolo, 38 years old Pinto (10-3-1, 8 KOs) may not have been very active since turning pro in 2016, but almost half of his fights have been for titles.

He has suffered a couple of very unexpected defeats along the way, against opponents he should have beaten with ease, but he has always picked himself up to come back strong.

Going through his record, his resume is quite impressive with no less than nine titles won.

Sixteen months after entering the paid code he won the Brazilian national Welterweight title, blowing out Andre Luiz Suares (9-2) in one round. 

In 2019 he captured the Brazilian crown at Super Welter, along with the UBO International and American Boxing Federation Inter-Continental titles.

2020 saw Pinto move back down to Welterweight where he added UBO Inter-Continental, WBC Feconsur and American Boxing Federation Inter-Continental belts to his collection by out-pointing Felipe Moledas (10-0).

Later that year he failed in an attempt to win the WBO Latino title against Argentinian Juan Hernan Leal (10-1), but rebounded in August of 2021 by defending his Brazilian and WBC titles with an impressive decision win over undefeated Sergio Dos Santos Carvalho (13-0).

Unfortunately he didn't capitalize on that fine victory, as he didn't fight again for more than two years.

Last March he stopped compatriot Luis Eduardo Souza da Silva (11-4-1) in three rounds to win his third UBO title, the Continental (South America), as well as the Interim Brazilian Super Welterweight title.
