American power-puncher Craig “Pressure” Parker showed no mercy when he won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Cruiserweight title on Saturday, August 24, in Cucuta, Colombia.

Parker was originally scheduled to fight Jose Yanez, but was instead matched with compatriot Sergio Andrade who, already in Cucuta to fight on the card, was able to save the day and step in at the last minute when the Venezuelan didn't show up.

But there was no gratitude shown, as Parker came out in his usual style, living up to his nickname by applying constant pressure and landing hooks and body-shots with bad intentions until Andrade was on the canvas and rescued by the referee in the first round.

The new UBO champion improved his professional record to a very impressive 17-0 (17), while Andrade drops to 4-2 (1).

Parker did what he had to do and made the most of an unfortunate situation. Andrade deserves a huge amount of credit for taking the fight, knowing he was in with a boxer of Parker´s calibre.

This was Parker´s fifteenth first round stoppage win, with only two opponents able to make it into the second round, so Andrade has nothing to be ashamed of. Craig Parker doesn't waste time!
