Undefeated Imran Haddbah is the new Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (North America) Cruiserweight champion, winning the vacant title on Saturday night at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon in St. Petersburg, Florida.

29-year-old Haddabah prevailed in a tough fight against co-challenger Kenmon Evans, from New Smyrna Beach, Florida, who arguably gave the home-town man his toughest test to date, at least in the early stages.

The boxers went toe-to-toe from round one, and it was clear that none of them had intentions of going the full distance. Both had their share of success, but Haddabah landed the harder shots and gradually took control.

While Evans was game and competitive, Haddabah was one step ahead in most rounds and had build up a lead on the scorecards when the end came in round six.

Haddabah connected with several hard shots which prompted referee Frank Gentile to step in, stopping Evans on his feet. Evans was perhaps more overwhelmed than hurt, but didn't complain about the stoppage.

The new UBO champion took his professional record to 14-0 (12), and could be in line to fight for the UBO world title in the not too distant future.

Evans drops to 10-3-1 (3), having only lost to undefeated opponents, but can definitely come again.

The fight was part of a UBO championship double-header promoted by Star Fight Productions.
