Mykal Fox, the newly-crowned Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Welterweight champion, is the UBO Boxer of the Month for July 2024.

  
 

Fox (23-4, 5 KOs) returned to the ring after a lengthy lay-off on July 20, going straight into a very tough match-up with Donald “Bulldog” Ward in Hanover, Maryland.


The tall southpaw from Upper Marlboro, who was blatantly robbed by the judges from winning a WBA world championship in 2021, showed that he is still top class as he won almost every round against his willing opponent.


One judge gave Ward a round, while the other two had Fox winning by shut-out, as he used his reach and skills to control Ward and fend off his attempts to get on the inside.


 
 

Promoted by Jeter Promotions, the victory puts Fox in the mix for even bigger fights, and at twenty-eight he still has time to eventually become a world champion.
