ArenaRing presented Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) championship boxing on Saturday night, July 20, in Garani, North Macedonia.

Headlining a huge card, undefeated Mersim Zeqiri took a major step up in class to win the vacant UBO International Middleweight title against power-punching Venezuelan national champion Gregorio Dominguez.

With both boxers having secured all their victories by stoppage, it always seemed unlikely that this one was going to go the full distance, and the spectators was expecting explosive action from the fighters.

Zeqiri was clearly trying to deliver and pressed the action, but when Dominguez suffered a cut in the second round, and the ringside doctor advised that the fight be stopped before round three, things never developed into the expected fire-fight.

The popular Zeqiri, now 6-0 (6), turned professional less than a year ago, but at 31 years old he has no intentions of taking things slowly. Dominguez sees his record dip to 16-4 (16).
