nearby Sioux City, Iowa, 23-year-old Walker took
on former American Boxing Federation (ABF)
champion Rudy Montenegro at the Laurel Ridge
Barn in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
In what
was considered a fifty-fifty match-up,
Montenegro, from Amarillo in Texas, was tough
and game, and did have his moments, but in the
end hard-punching Walker prevailed by seventh
round technical knockout.
The
promising
new UBO
champion improved his professional record to
12-1 (11), while Montenegro is stopped for the
first time and drops to 7-2 (1).

Walker has
now gone undefeated in his last ten bouts, and
proved that he has fully recovered from a shock
knockout-defeat to underdog Emmanuel Tennison in
his third outing
back in
December of 2022.
