After
paying his dues and taking on all comers, he is
hoping to extend his run, and put himself in
position for a world championship fight by winning
the UBO Inter-Continental crown.
For former
WBC regional title-challenger David Martinez
(11-7-1, 6 KOs), coming off a victory in his
home-town Monclova, fighting Mendoza is a great
opportunity.
He may be
the underdog going in, but he will find confidence
in the fact that he is the younger, and likely
fresher boxer.
It remains
to be seen if youth or experience will prevail,
but it will almost certainly be a “War in Baja”
when these two entertaining boxers collide.
