Sell-Out Expected: Walker, Montenegro In Pick´Em Fight For UBO Title

Streamed live world-wide by BXNG TV, hard-hitting Deonte “Slzzp” Walker (11-1, 10 KOs) fights Rudy Montenegro (7-1-1, 1 KO) for the vacant title at the Laurel Ridge Barn in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

For 23-year-old Walker, fighting out of nearby Sioux City, Iowa, the biggest night of his career to date will come almost exactly two years after he made his professional debut.

He won his first two pro bouts, but then shockingly lost his third in December of 2022. Since then he has come back stronger, winning nine straight and eight of them inside the distance.

Rudy Montenegro, from Amarillo in Texas, is however on a different level than anyone Walker has so far defeated in the paid ranks.

A pro since 2018, he has not been as active as Walker, but he already has two championship fights on his resume, winning and losing the American Boxing Federation Mid America title.

In his most recent outing, Montenegro won every round on his way to a unanimous decision over undefeated Daniel Gonzalez, which was not the first time he has ruined a prospects perfect record.

The very evenly matched UBO championship fight is the main event of a show labelled “Battle At the Barn”, and the promoters are expecting a sell-out.
