Nicknamed
“Pure Perfection”, the 27-year-old American won
the vacant title on Thursday evening, February
22, in Santa Marta, Colombia, defeating Clarena
Julio.
Woods was
originally scheduled to face local girl Katerin
Tobon, but when Tobon pulled out injured not
long before the fight, Julio, also from
Colombia, stepped in.
Julio
(31) did well and fought her chance, but in the
end Woods was just too much for her, forcing a
sixth round stoppage.
