October 31, 2010 / BY UBO PRESS OFFICER

A sharp Bronco McKart proved that he had every right to be confident ahead of his UBO World Middleweight title fight Saturday night at Monroe High School.

The former WBO and IBA world champion dominated a game but outgunned Michie Munoz and won his third World title with a seventh round stoppage in front of an enthusiastic hometown crowd.

McKart, who’s teenage son Banyon sang the national anthem before the bout, quickly took control of the action and bombarded Munoz with well-placed body shots and mixed in some precise and hard uppercuts.

As the rounds passed, it became apparent that Munoz would have to come up with something extraordinary to prevail, and it was just a matter of time before McKart would finally break his adversary down.

The end came at 1:13 of round seven when Munoz was knocked down and indicated to referee Sam Williams that he had had enough. With the victory the new UBO World Middleweight champion improved his record to 53-9-1 (32), while Munoz, who was ineligible to win the title as he failed to make the 160 Lbs. championship weight limit, dropped to 22-6 (15).

The show was promoted by Dennis Turner and his Turner Boxing Productions, and Universal Boxing Organization™ Supervisor in attendance was UBO USA Commissioner Macke Roberts. Judges were Dan Graschuck, Rose Gross and Gerard White.
