| On October 30 at the Stadium Josep Kabila in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of The Congo, promoter Mukadi Manda will stage a UBO title twin-bill celebrating the 36th anniversary of the legendary Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman fight which took place on this date in 1974 in Kinshasa. UBO International Welterweight champion Ilunga Dominique, son of local boxing legend Swinger Katanga, will defend his title against an opponent to be announced, and UBO International Cruiserweight king Matamba Postolo Debatch will move up to heavyweight to fight Thomas Moutuari of Pointe Noire, Congo-Brazzaville for the vacant UBO All-Africa title. Postolo vs. Moutuari is expected to stir a lot of passion among sports fans in the two Congo’s and the winner will qualify to fight for the Inter-Continental title at a later date. Eventually, defending the Inter-Continental belt could put one of the boxers in line for a world title fight, so a lot is at stake for the two combatants. The show will be under the patronage of governor of the Katanga province, the honorable Moise Katumbi. Katumbi is also chairman of the most prestigious football club in D.R.C, TP Mazembe, and after President Joseph Kabile Kabange the most popular man in the republic.
