A film crew from London-based media company IMG World has arrived in Fiji to shoot a documentary about Universal Boxing Organization™ Inter-Continental Super Middleweight Champion Joseph Kwadjo (20-3, 15 KOs).

The film will eventually hit TV screens across Europe, Australia, Africa, Canada and the USA, and will focus on the boxer’s impressive story about how he came to Fiji from his native Ghana and became a champion when he won the UBO title this past December by defeating local star Zulfikar Joy Ali.

In his most recent bout Kwadjo stopped former WBA world title challenger Jamie Pittman in Australia to underline his potential and class.

“We are here to do a number of stories on Fijian athletes, and the first and main story we are interested in is about Joseph Kwadjo. It will be basically about what he is doing to promote boxing in Fiji and unifying people through sports,” Matthew O’Callaghan, features producer for IMG - Trans World Sport, told the Fiji Sun newspaper.

“In 23 years of our existence we found out that we have never been to Fiji. For some bizarre reason, Fiji is one of the countries that slipped our radar. We are here to promote Fiji sports, Fiji and today we want to promote Joseph Kwadjo,” O’Callaghan said.

Joseph Kwadjo is next set to fight on October 1 when he returns to Australia to fight Serge Yannick in Melbourne.
