It was a closely fought contest where both boxers
had their moments, and in many rounds it was hard
to separate the two.
Foure was spurred on by around 1500 fans in the
packed venue, but it never discouraged the tough
Vandekerkhove who came to win and bring back the
UBO title to Belgium.
However, after ten rounds of fast-paced boxing,
the judges scored the bout 96-94 (Jean-Pierre Van
Imschoot, Belgium), 97-93 (Alexander Plumanns,
Germany) and 96-95 (Noel Monnet, France).
Referee in charge was Christophe Hembert of
