27-year-old Bloyer brings a decent professional
ledger of 12-6 (1), and will be competing in his
first championship bout since turning pro in 2009.
After winning his first four fights, he hit a
rough patch and went 4-5 in his next nine outings,
before turning things around in 2011. He has since
won four of his last five bouts, and seems ready
for the next level.
Ahmed El Hamwi is 7-2-1 (1) since entering the
professional ranks in 2008, and won the vacant
Belgian Super Welterweight title in 2010.
He is now back in his natural weight class and is
coming off an impressive stoppage victory over
tough veteran Farid El Houari this past May.
While Bloyer will be enjoying the advantage of his
hometown fans at ringside, the records and styles
of both boxers makes it a 50-50 match-up where a
victory will elevate the winner to new heights and
open new doors in the future. It remains to be
seen who will be the better man on the night! |
