Petranyi, a veteran campaigner who has fought a
who’s-who of big-name Europeans, won his eleventh
straight fight and improved his record to 47-20
(14). Somosi dropped to 12-4 (5).
Despite the early stoppage, it was not an easy
night for the defending champion. Out of the ring
since winning the title almost a year ago,
Petranyi started the fight at a slow pace and
suddenly found himself wrestled to the floor after
an entanglement with Somosi during infighting.
Unfortunately the fall made Petranyi twist his
angle, and with less than a round boxed it looked
like a hard night ahead. However, he managed to
continue and in the second round Petranyi found a
left-right combination which connected perfectly
on Somosi and send the challenger crashing to the
floor. |
