Promoter Nate Tubbs will present a UBO Championship doubleheader on October 1 at the Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana. The main event features a fight between Ravea Springs and Daniel Judah for the vacant UBO World Cruiserweight title, while the main undercard attraction sees Evette Collazo and Carla Torres clash for the vacant UBO Female International Super Featherweight championship.

Born in Chicago by Puerto Rican parents, 23-year-old Evette Collazo (4-2, 2 KOs) was a two-time Chicago Golden Gloves amateur champion before turning to the pro game in September 2007.

She made her debut with a first round stoppage of Christina Jones, and won three more fights before dropping a close majority decision to the more experienced NABA Champion Jenna Shiver in October 2010.

In her last fight, this past June, Collazo lost another close call to Melisa St. Vil for a WIBA regional title, and arguments could be made that with a little luck she would still be undefeated.

On September 10 she has a non-title fight lined up in Peoria, Illinois, and coming right back in another championship fight after that shows the desire and ambition of Collazo, and she will be going all out to capture her first professional title on October 1.

Carla Torres (3-1, 0 KOs) is 19 years old, and started her pro career in October 2010 with a unanimous decision over the undefeated Jenifer Wood. She suffered her first and so far only pro defeat four months later when she took on 4-0 Ronica Jeffrey (currently 8-0 and NABF champion) and lost on points.

Last time out, Torres scored a great victory as she beat reigning WIBA Youth Champion Brittany Cruz unanimously on points over five rounds at the Sky Ute Casino in Ignacio, Colorado. Cruz´ title was not on the line, but the fight underlined the potential of Torres and showed that she is already a championship caliber fighter.

The Ravea Springs – Daniel Judah / Evette Collazo – Carla Torres UBO Championship doubleheader will be promoted by Nate Tubbs / Events & Promotions Co. in association with the Grand Victoria Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana.
