The fight was made possible thanks to, among
others, sponsor Turkish Airlines who joined major
sponsor Bralima and their Turbo King, Beer of Real
Men, and FlyCAA in their support of professional
boxing in D.R.C.
The visitor from Niger, now 10-2 (5), started the
fight aggressively, and won the first three
rounds. In the fourth, Postolo started to even
things up before going all out in round five and
ending matters just before the end of the stanza.
The triumph of the local hero made fans enter the
ring in jubilation, and police had to remove the
enthusiastic spectators before the champion could
be officially crowned and awarded the belt by UBO
supervisor, and former European Champion, Valery
Kayumba who stepped in to replace Claude Kaninda
who was sick and forced to remain in Kinshasa.

Despite the small incident with the spectators,
it was a nice night of boxing in a happy
climate. One of the most pleasant developments
of the evening was the fight of Welterweight
Eric Kapia Mukadi who showed the public the
science of boxing by beating local man Joel
Mwema from first to last bell. Kapia is the
official challenger to the UBO All-Africa title
in his weight class.
Promoter Mukadi Manda made a point of thanking
all his sponsors, and especially main sponsor
Bralima who can help Matamba Postolo realize his
dream of fighting in the USA and Latin America.
