Rocky Junior (11-2, 6 KOs), a former WBC Mundo
Hispano champion, challenged UBO World Super
Middleweight Champion Kali Jacobus last April in
Vanuatu and lost a spirited fight by stoppage in
the eleventh round.
Although fighting in front of his own fans on
January 7, he is not coming back against an easy
opponent in Moreno.
At 21 years of age, Luis Alejandro Moreno (9-1-4,
5 KOs) from Buenos Aires is nineteen years younger
than his Brazilian foe, but nevertheless he has
more professional bouts than Junior.
Amazingly he registered four draws in his first
six bouts, one of them against recent WBF world
title-challenger Esteban Waldemar Ponce.
After the good result against Ponce, Moreno
suffered his careers only loss to date when an
injury prevented him from continuing in the first
round against countryman Angel Santos Alvarez.
Since then he has won seven straight fights, five
of them inside the distance. |
