The fight was part of Warriors Boxing’s ESPN
broadcasted “Fight Nights At The Cosmopolitan”.
Miami-based Cuban Barthelemy was the aggressor
throughout and always looking to land one of his
knockout blows, but Robles had come to fight and
consistently scored with body shots. However,
Barthelemy was much busier, and always seemed to
be in control.
After an entertaining bout, all three judges had
Barthelemy as the winner and he collected his
careers first professional championship. The game
Robles, now 14-10 (6), proved to be a good test
for the highly touted prospect, and it will be
interesting to see where “Kid Blast” goes from
here.
In Port of Spain, Trinidad, Jo Jo Dan had little
trouble disposing of late substitute Iwan Azore in
their fight for the vacant UBO Inter-Continental
Welterweight title. |
