Both fighters put on a good show, but Sadiki
was a
bit sharper in the exchanges and was spurred on by
a patriotic crowd. Chibuta had his moments, but
Sadic never really let the visitor take control.
Sadiki
improved his professional record to 11-0-1
(5), and Chibuta, a former ABU and IBF
title-challenger and GBU Champion, fell to 13-5
(3).
The fight was staged under the high patronage of
his Excellency governor Simon Floribert
Mbatshi-Mbatshi, who has continuously shown great
support to professional boxing in Matadi.
In attendance was Bas Congo Minister of sports,
the Honorable Don-André Phanzu-Ngom, representing
Governor Mbatshi-Mbatshi. |
