Former Italian champion Michela Braga will face
Iranian Tina Akhoondtabar (AKA Puneh
Akhundtabarmazandarani) for the vacant UBO
Inter-Continental Featherweight title.
Fighting out of Genoa, Braga (7-1) turned pro in
June of 2022, and won and defended the Italian
national title the following year.
In January of 2024 she came up short in a
challenge for the WBC Silver title against
undefeated British-based Nigerian Elizabeth
Oshoba, but has since rebounded with a win in
her home-town.

Akhoondtabar (8-3-1, 4 KOs), also a famous actress
in Iran, entered the paid ranks in 2017 and has
boxed in Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia,
Bangladesh, Thailand and Dubai, so a trip to Italy
will not faze her.
In her most recent outing, this past December,
Akhoondtabar defeated former European and world
title-challenger Xenia Jorneac from Romania, so
she will take on Braga full of confidence.
