With the victory Petranyi improved his
professional record to 46-20 (12), while Toth lost
for the first time since his professional debut
and is now 8-2 (4).
Toth started the fight very aggressively and
constantly came forward for the first three
rounds. Petranyi used swift footwork to keep away
in round one and two, and at the same time
utilized an effective jab. In round three Petranyi
started to take over, and landed more punches than
his tiring opponent.
In round four it became apparent that Toth had
used too much energy in the first three rounds,
and it was clearly Petranyi´s fight to win.
In round five he started punching effectively to
the body of Toth, and quickly floored him with a
powerful right hand to the midsection.
Toth made it to his feet but was send down twice
more in the fifth with body shots before referee
Janos Baranyi called a halt to the bout, and
declared Petranyi the new UBO European Champion.
