20-year-old German Tom Roestel is finally set to fight fellow undefeated compatriot Mirko Koenig for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Youth World Super Middleweight title.

After several postponements, Roestel (5-0, 5 KOs) and Koenig (3-0, 2 KOs) will clash on January 14 at the ETV in Kiel, as part of a championship triple-header promoted by Unlimited Boxing.

Both fighters have been waiting patiently for over a year to settle things in the ring, after an injury first sidelined Roestel before their original date last May, and venue issues later pushed the fight into 2023.

Roestel, moving up the weights as he grows, won the UBF European title in his most recent outing, while for Koenig it will be his first professional title fight.

Koenig has boxed at Super Middleweight before, and it will be the first time Roestel faces an opponent of this size.

For both men it will be their biggest test to date, and the winner will take a significant step towards even bigger fights.
