Lukas (25) was rescheduled for Saturday, October
22, in Istanbul, where she took on Ukrainian
Olena Gurieva in very unique settings, as part
of a card staged on board a ship in the Turkish
city´s harbour.
The
former amateur stand-out didn't give her more
experienced opponent, who had gone the full
distance with current European champion
Stephanie Silva, a chance to get started, as she
came out aggressively and took control from the
first second.
Lukas,
now 2-0 (1) in the pros, boxed an almost perfect
fight, and showed why she is considered a
potential future world champion before forcing a
third round stoppage.

“Of
course it was a challenge fighting in a different
country, but I raised our flag and I am bringing
the title back To Kazakhstan”, said a jubilant
Lukas after the bout.
“It
doesn't matter where the put the ring, in a
dessert or on a ship, as was the case today, I
just want to fight and I am happy with my
performance.”
In the main
event of the show, former UBO Inter-Continental
Heavyweight titlist Serdar Avci moved down to
Cruiserweight where he won the WBC International
Silver title by defeating Nigerian Tony Salam.
